The carnival always came home.
Before Richmond Survival Camp stood on the old Kessler pasture, Gravely's Carnival of Wonders ended every season there. In 1958, the Last Carnival of the Year burned before the Final Bell could ring.
The archive follows Walter Nash, Helen Mercer, Daniel Ruiz, and the keepers who spent nearly seventy years tracking the unfinished show, the Understage beneath it, and the name left behind when the Ringmaster became Grinwick.
